Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is hiring an Assistant Manager in Andover, KS. You will support the General Manager in running daily drive-in operations, train staff, and ensure clean, safe, and efficient service to deliver a great guest experience.

You will help manage schedules, inventories, and cost controls, while maintaining policies and driving a customer-focused team to meet performance targets and guest expectations.

Qualifications

• Six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year of entry-level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy; capable of multi-tasking and solving problems.
• Willingness to adhere to appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team/Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns staff to ensure food service meets standards.
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing, inventory and food cost; completes weekly inventory.
• Assists in administrative duties and record-keeping.
• Reinforces customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Responds to guest requests and resolves complaints with supervision.
