Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running a fast-paced drive-in operation. You’ll train and coach crew, direct shifts, and ensure food quality, safety, and cleanliness while delivering friendly guest experiences.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, managing staffing, inventory, and admin tasks, and maintaining performance standards with a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry-level retail management experience, including shift leadership.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Willingness to follow directions and work autonomously after instruction; ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, monitor, and coach Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign staff to meet service standards.
• Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing, inventory, and food cost; complete weekly inventory.
• Assist in administrative duties and maintain records and documentation.
• Reinforce customer service focus and address guest requests.
• Report guest complaints to supervisor and help resolve them.
