Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Michigan is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running daily drive-in operations and training staff. You’ll help deliver quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment while ensuring an outstanding guest experience.

Key duties include supervising Team Members, managing staffing and inventory, opening/closing, and handling administrative tasks with a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Willingness to abide by appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet standards.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control.
• Completes weekly inventory and handles administrative tasks.
• Reinforces customer service focus and handles guest requests and complaints.
