HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Market Sector Business Development Director to lead the development and implementation of business strategies across all HDR geographies, coordinating with Market Sector and Regional leadership, client managers and Directors. The role drives top-line growth and aligns sector initiatives with HDR's strategic goals.

The position requires extensive leadership across HDR's markets, collaboration with regional teams, and active industry involvement.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in drinking water planning, engineering design, and project management.
• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Professional engineering registration.
• Experience in client development and strategic positioning.
• Ability to travel and work in multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate HDR and Water vision within the market sector to become industry leader.
• Serve as Client Manager for selected key clients and be active in the industry.
• Lead pursuits on drinking water opportunities, developing pursuit strategies and interviews.
• Promote HDR services to Drinking Water clients across geographies.
• Support development of international markets in Canada, UK and Australia.
• Guide pursuit processes and client relationship development.
