CTL Engineering/CTL Infrastructure in West Virginia seeks an Equipment Operator 3 (Drilling Operator) to support infrastructure projects. The role will train to become a Drilling Operator, backing up drillers and performing site sampling preparation with geotechnical drilling.

You will operate heavy equipment, inspect and maintain gear, and work under exposure to weather and potentially hazardous conditions. CDL required; no formal education needed. CTL offers competitive benefits and ESOP.

Qualifications

• Four years of full-time experience operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers and drillers.
• Valid Class A or B CDL required (no substitutions).
• Experience with concrete and sidewalk construction.
• Clean driving record.

Responsabilités

• Operates a hydraulic crane.
• Excavate, backfill, grade, or level soil and aggregate.
• Lead or train lower-level equipment operators.
• Assist the Driller in positioning the drilling rig.
• Adds rods or augers to drill.
• Removes core samples from the core barrel.
• Assist in cleaning and maintenance of drilling rig and tools.
• Installs steel piling in pre‑drilled holes.
• Cleans the drilling site after drilling.
• Sets and detonates explosive charges for earth removal.
• Make major repairs to highways, culverts, bridges.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs in the field.
• Maintain equipment maintenance records.
• Other duties as assigned.
