Placements24 seeks a Drilling Fluids Engineer to optimize drilling fluid systems for safe well construction in the oil and gas sector. You will design fluid programs, monitor properties on-site and in the lab, and troubleshoot issues to maintain drilling performance.

The role requires a degree in Chemical/Petroleum/Materials Engineering and at least four years of experience with water-based, oil-based, or synthetic-based fluids, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Petroleum, or Materials Science) or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer in oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, rheology, and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement drilling fluid programs for specific well conditions.
• Monitor drilling fluid properties on-site and in the laboratory.
• Troubleshoot drilling fluid issues such as lost circulation or wellbore instability.
• Recommend fluid formulation adjustments to optimize safety and efficiency.
• Manage inventory and logistics for drilling fluid additives and equipment.
• Prepare technical reports with recommendations for future operations.
