Aerotek is seeking a Driller Helper in Omaha, NE to support field drilling operations for commercial and heavy industrial projects. This role is field-based, physically demanding, outdoors in varying weather, and involves working around drill rigs and heavy equipment.
The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of construction experience, can lift up to 100 pounds, and is comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on tasks in rugged environments.
The Driller Helper supports field drilling operations by assisting with soil, concrete, and asphalt sampling to evaluate site conditions for commercial and heavy industrial projects. This role is hands-on, physically demanding, and entirely field-based, requiring comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions and in dirty, muddy, or rough environments. The Driller Helper works closely with the drilling team to handle equipment, document test results clearly, and ensure safe and efficient operation of drilling activities.
This role is entirely field-based, with work performed outdoors 100% of the time in and around the Omaha area. Driller Helpers work in a wide range of weather conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather, and must be comfortable getting dirty while working in soil, mud, asphalt, and other rugged site conditions. The work is primarily on commercial and heavy industrial job sites and involves constant interaction with drill rigs, heavy machinery, and construction equipment. The position requires frequent shoveling, lifting, and moving of tools, pipes, drill rods, augers, and other materials on and off trucks.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
