Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Drilled Shaft Inspector to join the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) project in Honolulu, HI. You will inspect drilled shafts to contract specifications and witness tests, ensuring quality control compliance on a major civil construction program.

Requirements include a Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, 5+ years in testing or inspection on large public works, and active drilled shaft inspection certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• Active certification for drilled shaft inspection preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in testing, inspection, supervision or management on large public works projects.
• Experience as an Inspector of Drilled Shafts for heavy civil/transit projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect to contract specifications the constructed drilled shafts and testing procedures
• Develop understanding/working knowledge of quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc.
• Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work
• Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and related documents
• Assist in preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, e.g., inspection instructions and test equipment
• Assist in coordinating quality control inspection schedules with other department schedules
• Participate in internal/external quality control audits
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
