Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation's Honolulu project seeks a Drilled Shaft Inspector to join the HART program. You will inspect drilled shafts to contract specifications and witness testing, reporting to the Quality Control Manager.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Construction Management and brings 5+ years of testing, inspection, or supervision on large public works. Active drilled shaft inspection certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 5+ years in testing, inspection, supervision or management on large public works projects.
• Active drilled shaft inspection certification and a related degree preferred.
• Experience with contract specifications as they apply to quality control/assurance preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect drilled shafts and testing procedures per contract specifications.
• Develop understanding of the quality control program, standards and procedures.
• Perform inspections and witness tests to determine acceptability of work.
• Maintain inspection records and related quality documents.
• Assist in coordinating QC inspection schedules with other departments.

The scope of the approximately $1.66 billion contract includes the design and construction of six rail stations and approximately three miles of elevated rail guideway beginning just east of the Middle Street Transit Center Station and ending at the Civic Center Station, which will be located just east of the intersection of Halekauwila Street and South Street in downtown Honolulu. Project design is expected to begin immediately while construction is estimated to commence in the second half of 2025.
