Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Drill Tech to join an on-site crew on mineral drilling projects. This entry-level role requires overnight travel, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

You will assist with drilling operations, lift up to 50 lbs, work in teams, complete daily paperwork, and maintain equipment while upholding safety and quality procedures; willingness to travel up to two weeks away from home is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Construction site experience or outdoor industry experience preferred.
• Able to travel and stay away from home up to 2 weeks at a time.
• Must have clean driving record and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to safety and quality procedures to maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Lift and move drill pipe and materials up to 50 lbs, and assist with lifting components up to 100 lbs.
• Collaborate with drilling crew and work independently to meet project goals.
• Operate and maintain service trucks, backhoes, forklifts, generators, engines, pumps, and other site equipment.
• Assist with transporting rigs and equipment between sites and set up job sites for smooth operations.
• Complete daily paperwork to maintain time and material records.
