Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Drill Tech to assist the Driller with drilling operations and routine mechanical tasks at water well sites. The role requires standing for long shifts, lifting up to 50 lbs, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining site equipment, transporting rigs, completing paperwork, collecting samples, and collaborating with the crew to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Construction site experience or outdoor industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Driller in drilling operations and perform routine mechanical tasks.
• Lift and move drill pipe and materials up to 50 lbs and assist with heavier components up to 100 lbs.
• Collaborate with the drilling crew and work independently to meet project goals.
• Operate and maintain service trucks, backhoes, forklifts, generators, engines, pumps and other site equipment.
• Transport drilling rigs between sites and set up job sites.
• Complete daily paperwork for time and material records.
• Label and collect drill cuttings or water samples accurately.
• Perform additional duties to support team objectives.
