Job summary

Epiroc is seeking a Field Technician for the Knoxville, TN location. You will repair drills and a wide range of equipment, from overhauls to minor fixes, and perform diagnostics and testing as part of field service work.

Responsibilities include disassembly, component replacement, assembly, leak checks, and traveling to job sites. Strong trouble-shooting, electrical/hydraulic knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year technical degree or comparable military training preferred.
• 5+ years experience in heavy equipment industry.
• Valid driver''s license required.
• Strong communication and math skills.
• Proficient with computer including MS Office and diagnostic software.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems and diagnose failures.
• Perform diagnostics: check pressures, voltage, noise or vibration.
• Disassemble, order parts, repair, reassemble, test to confirm fix and leak-free operation.
• Prepare parts, clean, and prep for assembly.
• Travel to jobsites and vendor training sessions as needed.
• Overtime as needed.
