Job summary

C&M Dredging in Florida is seeking a Dredge Oiler to perform preventive maintenance on dredge and booster equipment and on-site heavy machinery. You will work outdoors, monitor engines and pumps, and assist with repairs while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Candidates should have marine/heavy equipment maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check and drug test. MSHA/OSHA certification is a plus for this steady, long-term role.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dredge Oiler or in marine/heavy equipment maintenance.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate or troubleshoot equipment.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and follow safety rules.
• Must pass a background check and drug test; MSHA/OSHA certification a plus.

Job description

Performed preventive maintenance, lubrication, and servicing of diesel engines, pumps, hydraulic systems, generators, and other dredging equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Monitored machinery performance, conducted routine inspections, identified mechanical issues, and assisted with repairs to minimize downtime. Maintained fluid levels, changed filters, cleaned equipment, and kept accurate maintenance records. Worked closely with engineers, mechanics, and deck crews while following company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and lockout/tagout practices.

Requirements
