Job summary

C&M Dredging Inc. seeks a dedicated Dredge Oiler to perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, and service of diesel engines, pumps, hydraulics, and other dredging equipment to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will monitor performance, assist with repairs, document maintenance, and work closely with engineers and crews while adhering to safety, MSHA/OSHA guidelines, and company policies. This is a steady, long-term, on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dredge Oiler or in marine/heavy equipment maintenance is required.
• Mechanical aptitude is essential.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Driver’s license is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
• MSHA/OSHA certification is a plus.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate and maintain dredge and booster equipment as well as on-site heavy equipment.
• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor engines, pumps, and mechanical systems.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Document daily equipment maintenance reports.

Job description

Performed preventive maintenance, lubrication, and servicing of diesel engines, pumps, hydraulic systems, generators, and other dredging equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Monitored machinery performance, conducted routine inspections, identified mechanical issues, and assisted with repairs to minimize downtime. Maintained fluid levels, changed filters, cleaned equipment, and kept accurate maintenance records. Worked closely with engineers, mechanics, and deck crews while following company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and lockout/tagout practices.
