Job summary

Steam Logistics LLC in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Enterprise Drayage Operations Specialist to support high-volume drayage for a major client. You will build shipments in our TMS, schedule pickups, and manage shipment data to deliver a smooth end-to-end experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or an equivalent of education/experience.
• 1+ years of logistics experience preferred.
• Proactive, independent, and reliable in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and self-motivation skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Builds shipments in our TMS, schedules container pick-up and delivery appointments, and manages the financial data of the shipments
• Partner with the Drayage Sales team facilitate the end-to-end drayage move
• Builds key relationships with both truckers and customers to ensure Steam Logistics is seen as best-in-class service provider; proactive communicator via phone & email follow up
• Fully knowledgeable of all operational aspects of the TMS and how the workflow is setup to be as efficient as possible; brings and promotes suggestions on how to enhance and automate processes
• Effectively communicates and offers solutions when capacity problems arise, as well as ensuring LFD’s and Port Cuts are prioritized
• Excellent sense of container tracking to ensure we avoid all detention, per diem, storage, etc.; Comes up with unique and effective solutions to eliminate these costs
