Job summary

Maersk Freight Brokerage is hiring a Freight Brokerage Specialist for the Dayton, NJ office. The role focuses on drayage services, carrier relations, and port operations, delivering exceptional service to clients and carriers.

Strong knowledge of brokerage, logistics, and trucking is required, with a proactive, self-starting approach. Qualified candidates will have an associate degree in business or a related field, experience with broker platforms/TMS, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience in Drayage and port operations and brokerage.
• Proven track record in Logistics/Trucking industry.
• Strong self-starter with minimal on-site supervision.
• Solid understanding of transportation and Drayage terms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with carriers focusing on Drayage.
• Research and resolve freight and billing issues related to shipments.
• Maintain regular communication with carriers and brokerage leadership.
• Track and trace shipments daily to ensure timely delivery.
• Schedule pick-up and delivery appointments, optimizing resources.
• Facilitate pricing strategies by engaging carriers and analyzing the market.
