Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in Fontana, CA is seeking an experienced Drayage Dispatcher to support a busy transportation operation. You will coordinate drivers, manage daily dispatch activities, and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

You will use a TMS and Samsara software, maintain accurate dispatch data, and communicate proactively with drivers and operations to resolve scheduling issues while complying with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of drayage dispatching experience.
• Local transportation dispatch experience required.
• Experience communicating with drivers via a TMS.
• DOT rules and regulations knowledge.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Samsara software is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate drivers for daily pickups and deliveries.
• Monitor shipment activity and provide real-time driver updates.
• Use a TMS to manage dispatch operations.
• Decide on driver assignments, routes, and priorities.
• Maintain timely movement of freight and service standards.
• Enter and maintain dispatch, driver, and load data.
• Collaborate with Operations to resolve scheduling issues.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate delays and transportation updates proactively.
