Living Spaces Furniture is seeking a Transportation Operations Specialist in California to coordinate shipments per customer instructions and ensure DOT compliance. The role involves drayage dispatch, carrier selection, order processing, and close collaboration with operations to minimize costs.

Responsibilities include managing carrier rates, dispatching drivers, and communicating status updates. Experience with Microsoft Office and POS systems is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 3 years of experience in drayage dispatch or supply chain.
• 2 years of drayage dispatch/planning experience; equivalent education considered.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Adobe Acrobat preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring 3rd party carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
• Receive and process work orders from LS operations team.
• Manage chassis agreements and provide pre-alerts to providers.
• Maintain carrier database with providers, rates, and expiration dates.
• Act as first contact for carrier rate disputes.
• Dispatch drivers for shipment pick-ups and deliveries.
• Notify drivers of pick-ups and deliveries and provide status updates.
• Reduce detention, storage, and per diem costs where possible.
