Living Spaces in La Mirada, CA is seeking a Transportation Operations Specialist to coordinate shipments in line with SOPs and DOT rules. You will dispatch drivers, manage drayage needs by region, and work with 3rd party carriers to optimize costs while providing timely updates to internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3 years of drayage dispatch or supply chain experience.
• 2 years of drayage dispatch/planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hire of 3rd party carriers for pickups and deliveries.
• Receive and process work orders from LS operations team.
• Maintain carrier database with providers, rates and expiration dates.
• Dispatch drivers for shipments and provide status updates to operations.
• Manage drayage needs by region for import/export cargo.
• Strive to reduce detention, storage and per diem costs.
