Job summary

Corning is seeking a leader to head the Draw Engineering department, establishing and executing a project portfolio to deliver new products and process capabilities aligned with business and plant objectives.

You will develop technical talent in fibermaking, applying DMAIC, MIE and MEE methods, coach and grow engineers, manage budgets, and work with R&D and external teams to pull in new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven technical project management experience.
• 5+ years of engineering supervision & leadership experience.
• Certified Green Belt.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Draw Engineering department and manage a project portfolio to deliver new products and process capabilities.
• Develop technical talent through understanding of fibermaking and DMAIC methodologies.
• Manage department budgets and forecasts; protect IP and drive cost improvements.
• Engage with R&D and external groups to pull in new technologies.
