Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Yield Analysis (DA) Engineer to characterize electrical data and identify device issues impacting yield. You will collaborate with R&D and manufacturing to accelerate product transfer and apply machine learning to predict end-of-line device performance.

Responsibilities include analyzing end-of-line test data, developing yield analysis tools, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor with 5 year industrial experience in related semiconductor field, or MS or PhD in Engineering or related semiconductor field.
• Good understanding of semiconductor processing and CMOS operation.
• Demonstrated expertise in extracting, analyzing, and reporting data.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
• Continuous improvement mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Programming skills including JavaScript, Python, R, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-of-line test, parametric and fab data to identify design, process, and test issues impacting yield.
• Develop new tools for yield analysis and implement machine learning to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify new ways to use existing tools to detect process issues or device failures.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex yield issues.
• Publish and present reports on analysis of process experiments.
• Support transfer of new parts from R&D to manufacturing.
• Provide feedback on design and process issues limiting device functionality.
