Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. invites applications for a Yield Analysis (DA) Engineer to characterize electrical data and source out issues affecting yield. You will collaborate with R&D and manufacturing to accelerate product-to-market timelines using device-physics and ML for end-of-line predictions.

The role requires strong data extraction/reporting skills, semiconductor processing knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex analyses clearly. Travel and cross-functional teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years industrial experience in semiconductor field or MS/PhD in Engineering or related field.
• Good understanding of semiconductor processing including CMOS operation and memory cell operation.
• Ability to extract, analyze, and report data effectively.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) and ability to present complex analysis succinctly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-of-line test, parametric and fab data to identify design, process, and test issues impacting yield.
• Develop new tools for yield analysis and apply ML techniques to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify innovative ways to use existing tools to detect process issues or device failures.
• Investigate interactions between process modules/equipment to detect fail mechanisms.
• Use inline data to drive process improvements and standardize methods for reproducibility.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to troubleshoot yield issues and communicate findings.
