Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a New College Grad MDE Shift Engineer for Films, Metals, and Implant.

You will support 24/7 process development for next-generation DRAM, serving as the primary off-hours technical resource and driving rapid learning through advanced analytics and AI-enabled approaches. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve process and equipment issues, apply SPC and DOE methods, and contribute to continuous improvement while operating on a 12-hour

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical Eng/EE/Materials Science/Physics/Chemistry or related field, or Bachelor's with semiconductor exp.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of Films/Metals/Implant semiconductor processes, process control and problem-solving techniques.
• Familiarity with SPC, DOE, E3 FD systems and data-driven decision-making.
• Strong analytical, communication and technical problem-solving skills; proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary off-hours technical resource for development activities and wafer disposition decisions.
• Collaborate with Process Development, Process Integration, Equipment Development, Manufacturing and Shift Operations teams.
• Apply SPC, E3 FD systems and data analysis to investigate excursions, root causes, and yield improvements.
• Maintain documentation, reaction plans, process recipes and procedures with change control and safety focus.
• Support continuous improvement via PMI data, audits, benchmarking and best-known methods.
• Apply Model-Based Problem Solving, advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve decisions and efficiency.
• Use automation, data science and AI to strengthen data analysis and accelerate learning cycles.
• Foster safety, technical excellence, collaboration and alignment with department goals.
