Job summary

HNTB seeks a Drainage Project Manager to lead fast-paced transportation infrastructure projects in California. You will manage scope, schedule, budgets, and technical requirements, review designs, and coordinate with partners to ensure delivery on time and on budget.

You will lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, coordinate staff, and mentor teams while pursuing new business opportunities with clients and stakeholders across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience.
• Master’s degree preferred; PE certification and multi-state eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope and fee quotations; assist with proposals and contracts.
• Serve as primary client liaison; manage project team to delivery of scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Perform technical tasks including analysis, reports, design, specifications, and production.
• Implement SDA; lead project management plan; mentor team toward project objectives.
• Coordinate staffing: recruitment, development, retention, performance reviews.
• Support business development with client leaders and pursuit teams; prepare materials.
• Lead recruitment and staff development; drive performance reviews and succession.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
