Job summary

Volkert Inc. is seeking an experienced Drainage Project Engineer to support the Southwest Region with projects across Austin, Houston, McKinney, Rockwall, Round Rock, San Antonio, or Tyler, TX. The role requires 4+ years in drainage and TxDOT environments and a BS in Civil Engineering.

You will design stormwater and erosion control systems, analyze hydrologic models, and prepare reports and construction documents while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Valid PE licensure preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and prepare project plans and reports.
• Design stormwater drainage and erosion control systems using engineering software.
• Model hydrology and hydraulics for transportation projects.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies for permitting.
• Assist with OpenRoads Designer-based design and review.
