Job summary

The City of Cibolo is seeking a reliable Drainage Maintenance Worker I to maintain the city’s drainage infrastructure and rights-of-way. The role involves mowing, weed control, erosion repair, and routine upkeep of public works facilities and equipment.

You will operate light and heavy equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and handle work orders with safety and efficiency. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required, with at least one year in a related field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related field experience.
• Must obtain a traffic flagger and traffic work zone certificate within one year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain drainage system and rights-of-way by mowing and weed maintenance.
• Repair erosion damage and perform routine maintenance.
• Operate light and heavy equipment safely.
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance.
• Complete daily work orders and assist others as needed.
• Respond to weather-related emergencies.
