Job summary

Consor is seeking an Engineering Designer to lead drainage design for transportation projects in Texas. You will develop stormwater management solutions, perform hydraulic analyses, and coordinate multi-disciplinary design efforts to deliver safe and resilient infrastructure.

You will mentor junior designers, contribute to quality reviews, and help improve design processes while advancing toward project leadership roles within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• 2+ years of Texas transportation drainage design experience.
• Experience with MicroStation & OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of drainage design plans, specs, reports, and cost estimates for transportation projects (stormwater, roadway drainage, culverts).
• Perform advanced hydraulic and hydrologic analyses to evaluate drainage performance and mitigate flood risks.
• Ensure designs comply with federal, state, and local regulations and client standards.
• Coordinate drainage design with roadway, bridge, utility, survey and environmental disciplines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior designers and staff, and support quality assurance.
• Support project engineers with design reviews, quality control, schedule management, and client coordination.
