Job summary

YossiG is seeking a Lead Drafter to convert design concepts into precise, buildable drawings for high-end residential and multifamily interiors. You will own drawing packages from development through construction, ensuring accuracy and constructability.

With 5+ years in interior design or architecture and expertise in AutoCAD and Revit, you’ll lead technical development, review teams, and coordinate across disciplines to elevate drafting standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in interior design or architecture.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit; SketchUp a plus.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to translate designs into buildable docs.
• Familiar with NYC construction practices and codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development and documentation of projects from design development to construction.

Develops precise construction drawings for YossiG’s high-end interior design projects, including floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and custom millwork details. Collaborates with the design team to translate creative concepts into accurate, detailed, and buildable documentation.

We're looking for a Lead Drafter who knows how to turn great design into exceptional execution. With a strong technical background, an eye for detail, and the confidence to lead, you'll take ownership of our drawing packages from design development through construction. We're looking for a professional who thinks beyond the redlines, anticipates challenges, and brings the knowledge and precision needed to make ambitious designs a reality.

• An experienced drafter with 5+ years in interior design or architecture, preferably with a strong background in high-end residential and multifamily projects.
• Technically sharp, with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. SketchUp is a plus.
• Someone who understands that great design means nothing if it can't be executed properly.
• Confident in taking a project from design development through a complete, accurate, and buildable construction document set.
• Well-versed in millwork, cabinetry, lighting, finishes, architectural detailing, and construction methods.
• A natural problem-solver who anticipates challenges, identifies missing information, and knows which questions to ask before issues reach the field.
• Meticulous with details, organized in your process, and capable of managing multiple projects without compromising quality.
• Comfortable reviewing, directing, and maintaining the standards of other drafting professionals.
• Familiar with NYC construction practices and building codes.
• Independent in your thinking, collaborative in your approach, and confident enough to take ownership of the technical side of a project.
• Lead the technical development and documentation of YossiG's projects, translating ambitious design concepts into accurate, coordinated, and buildable drawings.
• Take ownership of Design Development and Construction Document sets from beginning to end.
• Produce detailed plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, millwork drawings, and construction details.
• Work closely with lead designers to ensure every technical decision supports the original design vision.
• Develop construction details, resolve conflicts, and find solutions without relying on constant direction.
• Review drawing packages for accuracy, consistency, coordination, and constructability.
• Coordinate architectural backgrounds, consultant information, and technical requirements across disciplines.
• Lead and review work produced by junior and external drafting resources, ensuring quality and consistency throughout.
• Maintain drawing standards, templates, organization, and revision control.
• Support projects during construction by addressing RFIs, revisions, and technical clarifications.
• Continuously refine and elevate YossiG's drafting standards, documentation processes, and overall technical execution.
