Job summary

Doyle Security Services, Inc. (DSS) is seeking a security guard to observe and report at a client site, patrol premises, and ensure safety for personnel and property in Melville, NY.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid NYS Security Guard License, and the ability to communicate in English. Shifts include multiple time blocks; benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401(k), PTO, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Must understand the English language and communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS Security Guard License.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Prior security experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Patrols premises, monitors surveillance equipment, inspects buildings and access points, and enforces regulations as directed.
• Completes reports by recording observations and obtaining signatures; interviews witnesses as needed.

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Work requires the ability to stand for the majority of workday.

Monday - Friday, 0000x0800 (40 hrs.)

Saturday & Sunday 0800x1600, Monday & Tuesday 1600x0000 (32 hrs.)

Wednesday - Sunday, 1600x0000 (40 hrs.)

Saturday & Sunday, 0000x0800 (16 hrs.)

Starting from USD $18.50/Hr.

• Reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
• High School Diploma / GED required
• 5-7 Year U.S. work history may be required
• Valid NYS Security Guard License
• Must have valid drivers license
• Must be able to understand the English language and communicate effectively in both the verbal and written form
