Job summary

Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, Inc. seeks a Downtown Ambassador to connect hospitality with public safety in the District.

You will serve as eyes, ears, and voice, engaging with business owners, residents, law enforcement, visitors, and workers to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The role requires high school education and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to stay calm and professional in diverse situations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED certificate.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sound judgment and the ability to persuasively influence the behavior of individuals with diverse backgrounds and situations.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot, bicycle, or Trikke.
• Communicate conditions via radio, reports to authorities, and maintain a professional presence.
• Maintain knowledge of streets, access points, attractions, and transportation within the District.
• Prevent and report illegal activities and assist with emergency responses as needed.
• Provide escort services, crowd control during evacuations, and maintain daily logs.
