Job summary

Ohio Support Services is seeking an Ambassador to support downtown Columbus safety and visitor welfare through customer service and keen observation. The role blends security, hospitality, and outreach, with outdoor duties in all weather and the ability to engage a diverse population.

You will collaborate with Special Duty Officers and assist people needing social services or directions. The position requires standing, walking, or riding for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 35

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: valid driver’s license.
• Ability to stand, walk or ride for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs unassisted or 50 lbs with support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle, bike and foot patrols of public areas.
• Operate John Deere Gator or similar vehicles.
• Provide directions and information to visitors.
• Emergency response as needed.
• Participate in beautification and sidewalk projects.
• Assist with snow removal duties as required.
• Engage people in need of social services and link to resources.
• Maintain safety and assist with crowd management as needed.
