Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Server for Society 1854 at the Omaha Marriott Downtown. You will provide food and beverage service in a friendly, timely, and professional manner, tailoring the dining experience to each guest.

The role requires knowledge of menu items, etiquette, and the ability to work a POS system with cash handling. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet preferred.
• Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
• Understand menu including ingredients and preparation of the dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany the dish.
• Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.
• Address and resolve guest complaints.
