Job summary

Baker Hughes seeks an Electromechanical Technician for Downhole Tools in a fast-paced, safety‑critical manufacturing environment. You will assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic components designed for HPHT downhole applications, working closely with engineering and field service teams.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of hands-on experience with downhole tools, strong schematic literacy, and proficiency with multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (AAS/AS) in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent.
• 3–5 years hands-on electromechanical, hydraulic, and downhole tool experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, assembly procedures, and test documentation.
• Experience with electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes).

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair downhole electronic assemblies.
• Assemble, disassemble, inspect, and repair mechanical tool components.
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and system-level testing.
• Conduct pressure, leak, and environmental testing.
• Diagnose nonconformances and support root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with QMS and HSE requirements.
• Maintain documentation and traceability.
