Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Douglas Operator for our Wayland, Michigan facility. You will run the Retail Line #2 case wrapper, priority de-palletizer, and Columbia palletizer, supporting the production team and line changeovers.

The role requires experience with sit-down forklift operation, strong adherence to quality, and a commitment to safety and GMP standards. This is a full-time, first-shift position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Must have valid sit-down forklift experience.
• Demonstrated ability to follow written instructions and process documents.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Mechanical ability to perform machine adjustments and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate Retail Line #2 case wrapper, priority one de-palletizer, and the Columbia palletizer.
• Assist in size changeovers and support the Production team to improve plant performance.
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Keep work area clean and floors free of debris; dispose trash properly.
• Comply with GMP, SOP, HACCP, LOTO, and other company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

About the Role: In this role you will be responsible for the operation of the Retail Line #2 case wrapper, priority one de-palletizer, and the Columbia palletizer. As the Douglas Operator at the Wayland location, you will be required to assist in the operation of the entire line and assist with size changeovers. You will also provide support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

• Operator must have the mechanical ability to perform necessary machine adjustments to obtain “Standards” in production.
• Operator must have understanding of the quality requirement for the product with the ability to maintain accurate production records.
• Must have a valid lift truck license.
• This person will be required to assist in the operation of the entire line and assist with size changeovers.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work area.
• Floors are to be kept clear of debris & trash must be placed in designated containers.
• Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP’S, SOP’s, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, foods safety programs and all other policies established by Bay Valley Foods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Important Details

This is a full-time position on 1st shift, working Monday through Friday. 1st shift operates 8am to 4pm Hourly base wage is 24.42
