Job summary

Servingschools in Maine is seeking a Residential Advisor Supervisor to oversee all activities of the Residential Advisors on assigned shift and ensure compliance with PRH requirements for the Residential Department.

You will supervise dormitory living, lead staff trainings, and deliver weekly and monthly reports to Center Management, including the Social Development Director and Center Director. The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and adherence to career success standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED and two years’ experience working with youth and young adults.
• Preferred: Minimum plus previous Job Corps experience.
• Knowledge: Ability to effectively communicate with and relate to disadvantaged youths. Must be able to obtain a State driver’s license. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid & AED certification. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to inspire and motivate staff, and model professional behaviors to set the standard for how students and staff should conduct themselves.

Responsibilities

• Oversee residential program and ensure student needs are met in a timely, professional manner.
• Demonstrate and abide by company core values and operating principles.
• Direct and plan for Social Development Department's needs; manage living activities to meet student needs.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and employee training sessions.
• Provide monthly and weekly activity reports to Center Management and leadership.
• Ensure clean, orderly living conditions in dormitories and promote self-discipline and consideration for others.
• Oversee social skills and student leadership sessions; provide guidance as appropriate.
• Assist students with special problems; conduct dormitory meetings and coordinate with other departments.
• Conduct regular audits of student Residential files and staff shift reports; provide feedback for compliance.
• Attend required staff training sessions.
• Facilitate prompt assistance to students in injuries, illness, trauma, or other incidents.
• Support equal employment and affirmative action goals and objectives.
• Interview and select staff; prepare and conduct performance evaluations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
