Job summary

Distinction, LLC is seeking a Residential Advisor to supervise dormitory life, support student development, and ensure safety during evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. The role involves mentoring students, enforcing schedules, and maintaining clean, secure facilities in accordance with program policies.

The position is non-exempt and hourly, with a 10% shift differential for overnight hours. Strong communication and crisis management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to complete mandated training requirements and read emails daily.

Responsibilities

• Assists students in adjusting to Center life with supervision and mentoring.
• Ensures students meet schedules and arrive on time for school or work.
• Maintains dorm cleanliness and inspection readiness.
• Provides informal counseling on stress management and responsible behavior.
• Documents student records and prepares progress reports.
• Facilitates life skills groups and teaches SST curriculum.
• Conducts regular safety checks and maintains equipment per policies.
• Supports staff and students, communicating between management and residents.

Education
