Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. in Laurel, MD is hiring to support Job Corps students in dormitory living, offering guidance, counseling and independent living skills.

You will help ensure safe, positive peer interactions and assist with career development services while maintaining documentation and orderly operations. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a preference for advanced degrees and at least one year of Job Corps experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum one year of Job Corps or related program experience.
• Valid in-state driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide students to achieve positive attitudes and proper behavior in dormitory living.
• Determine and arrange student visits to counselors.
• Assist in unit activities including unit government and safety.
• Patrol dormitories and center to ensure safety and behavior; resolve issues.
• Prepare daily operations reports and related administrative correspondence.
• Direct students and assist in cleanup and maintenance of dormitories.
• Recommend or requisition supplies for dorm living and safety.
• Maintain student files with complete documentation.
• Enter student case notes in the center information system.
• Support career development services and model positive peer leadership.
• Provide guidance, counseling, group sessions and independent living skills.
• Overtime when directed; maintain regular attendance.
• Provide positive customer service to students and staff.
• Support Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy.
