Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is seeking friendly, outgoing servers to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver meals with accuracy and care. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and teamwork in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Applicants should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle payments using the POS. Florida mandated certifications must be completed upon hire.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for full shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Complete Florida Responsible Vendor program in compliance with statutes.
• Complete and pass food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Take guest orders and enter them into the POS system accurately and promptly.
• Deliver prepared food and drinks from kitchen/bar to guests.
• Maintain tables, assist with sidework and general restaurant duties.
• Process payments using the POS and provide correct change.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and shift changes.
• Ensure restrooms are clean and stocked.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
