Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises, Inc. in Miami, FL is seeking friendly servers to welcome guests, take orders, and serve meals, while ensuring accurate orders and timely delivery.

You will maintain clean tables, assist teammates, know menu items and promotions, and use the POS system effectively. Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications are required; a five-day work week, health insurance, and paid vacation are included.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests
• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Five (5) Day Work Week
• Paid Vacation One Week after Year One, Two Weeks after Two Years, and Three Weeks after Ten Years
