Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises is seeking friendly servers to join our team. You will welcome guests, take orders, and deliver meals with accuracy while promoting specials. You’ll maintain clean stations, assist coworkers, and ensure a smooth dining experience in a fast-paced setting.

Applicants should be able to stand all shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and communicate clearly in English. Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications are required to ensure top service and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Availability to work a five-day week with shifts.
• Complete Florida Responsible Vendor program and food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and training.
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance and service flow.
• Know menu items, promotions, and answer guests' questions clearly.
• Accurately take and enter guests' orders into POS system promptly.
• Deliver orders from kitchen/bar to guests in a timely manner.
• Assess guests’ demeanor and summon a Manager when needed.
• Process payments; ensure correct transactions and change.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and sidework.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

Overview

At Flanigan’s, we strive to bring together warm, caring, friendly, outgoing people, who find joy in serving others. Our servers play a vital role in every meal – welcoming and guiding, taking orders and serving, and attending to details.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
