Job summary

San Diego Blood Bank is seeking a Donor Technician 1 for the East County Donor Center to support donor safety and the collection process. Under RN supervision, you will help ensure product integrity and donor care while maintaining strict confidentiality and quality standards.

Starting pay is $21.25 per hour with paid training and the opportunity to develop phlebotomy skills, bilingual communication, and exceptional donor service in a supportive clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification preferred but not essential.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and safety standards are met in all duties.
• Assist with donor safety and product integrity under RN supervision.
• Maintain donor records and communicate effectively with team and donors.
• Support rescheduling and retention of donors through outstanding service.
