Job summary

San Diego Blood Bank in Vista, CA seeks a Donor Technician 1 - CDC for a temp-to-hire role at the North County Donor Center. Starting pay is $21.25 per hour. The role offers hands-on experience and paid training, with licensing not required but preferred.

Under RN supervision you will ensure donor safety, product quality, and compliance with SOPs, while assisting with donor scheduling, retention, and customer service. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred but not essential; medical assistant acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Under RN supervision, ensure donor safety and product safety.
• Update RN/Team Leader with necessary information and follow SOP.
• Assist with donor scheduling and retention through excellent customer service.
• Maintain professional communication and confidentiality.

Skills

Bilingual in English/Spanish

Education
