Job summary

San Diego Blood Bank is seeking a Donor Technician 1 at the Carmel Valley Donor Center to support donor safety and product quality. The role provides hands-on phlebotomy experience and paid training, with starting pay of $21.25 per hour.

Under RN supervision, you will assist with donor care, data entry, and maintaining confidentiality while delivering outstanding customer service. Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or Medical Assistant certification preferred but not essential.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consistently ensures all quality and safety standards are met.
• Under RN supervision, responsible for donor safety and product integrity.
• Assists with rescheduling and retention of donors through excellent customer service.
• Maintains confidentiality of donor and organizational information.
