Job summary

San Diego Blood Bank is seeking a Donor Technician 1 at the Sabre Springs Donor Center to gain hands-on phlebotomy experience with paid training. A license or certification is preferred but not required, with emphasis on customer service and donor care.

As part of Nursing & Community Wellness, you will support donor safety, comply with SOPs, and collaborate with nurses to ensure accurate procedures while maintaining confidentiality and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification preferred but not essential.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure donor safety and the safety, potency and purity of all products collected.
• Assist with donor scheduling, retention, and exceptional customer service.
• Follow SOPs and work under RN supervision.
