Job summary

San Diego Blood Bank is seeking a Donor Technician 1 - Mobiles to support the Gateway Mobiles Department in San Diego. Starting pay is $21.25 per hour and paid training is provided.

Licenses or certifications in phlebotomy are preferred but not required, making it accessible to entry-level candidates. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will help ensure donor safety and the potency/purity of collected products, while delivering outstanding customer service to donors and supporting

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification preferred but not essential.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Donor safety and the safety, potency and purity of all products collected.
• Assist with rescheduling and retention of donors with outstanding customer service.
• Under RN supervision, manage adverse reactions and document events per SOP.
