Qualifications

• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment
• Able to perform basic math calculations
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness and awareness to donor reactions; notify staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents, alarms, and donor data.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and ensure operating supplies; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
