Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in health care or related field.
• Three to five years of experience in the medical field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates potential organ donor referrals and determines medical suitability using medical records, history, and current status.
• Collaborates with physicians and hospital staff to manage referral from initial contact through donor declaration or DCD evaluation.
• Identifies legal next-of-kin per state laws and UAGA; assesses family dynamics and provides donation discussions with sensitivity.
• Documents donor referral activities and UDRAI details in confidential records and database.
• Coordinates with ORC/ORS and legal authorities to obtain clearance for organ recovery as needed.
• Maintains communications with hospital administrators and staff, promoting donor program goals and education.
