Job summary

Nashville Rescue Mission invites applicants for the role of Director of Donor Services to lead a donor-centered team responsible for gift processing, receipting, reporting, and stewardship. The position reports to the VP of Development and Marketing and focuses on data integrity, customer service, and analytics.

The role requires 5–7 years in nonprofit donor services, staff supervision experience, and strong CRM/data skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related discipline.
• Five to seven years of nonprofit experience, including donor services or advancement
• Experience supervising others and building collaborative teams
• Calm, empathetic, professional demeanor; strong problem-solving and discretion
• Strong knowledge of CRMs and wealth-screening software
• Good letter writing and professional communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Donor Services staff.
• Oversee daily gift processing, receipting, and monthly close.
• Coordinate with Development, Marketing, and Finance for data flow.
• Prepare information for tax filings, audits, and reporting.
• Manage vendor relationships for donor data and communications.
• Support donor stewardship and recognition programs.
• Staff special events as needed, including evenings or weekends.
