Job summary

Family First is seeking a mission-driven Donor Engagement Specialist to join our Development team in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on cultivating and stewarding base-level donors to deepen engagement and generosity, with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will manage donor portfolios, execute appeals and segmentation, and collaborate with events while tracking metrics in HubSpot. A bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years in nonprofit development are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in nonprofit development, donor relations, customer success, or relationship-focused roles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Excellent written communication and the ability to convey mission and impact clearly.
• Organized and detail-oriented with comfort working toward defined metrics and goals.
• Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platform and familiarity with fundraising strategies.

Responsibilities

• Donor Engagement: manage a portfolio of base-level donors with a focus on retention and relationship-building.
• Research & Analysis: identify new donor prospects and analyze donor data to monitor retention and giving trends.
• Collaboration & Events: partner with the Events Team to support donor fundraising events.
• CRM & Reporting: document donor interactions in HubSpot and track KPIs like touchpoints and upgrades.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

Donor Engagement

• Manage a portfolio of base-level donors with a focus on retention and relationship-building.
• Execute appeals, donor segmentation, and campaign coordination.
• Conduct proactive, personalized outreach to donors through phone calls, texts, emails, video meetings, and handwritten notes.

Research & Analysis

• Identify new donor prospects and assess upgrade potential within your assigned portfolio.
• Analyze donor data and reports to monitor retention, reactivation, and giving trends.

Collaboration & Events

• Partner with the Events Team to support donor fundraising events.

CRM & Reporting

• Accurately document all donor interactions and research in HubSpot in a timely manner.
• Track and report on key performance indicators, including touchpoints, donor upgrades, retention rates, and annual fund revenue growth.
