Family First is seeking a mission-driven donor relations specialist to cultivate and steward a portfolio of base-level donors. You will move supporters toward deeper engagement and larger generosity under the director of development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field.
• 2+ years in nonprofit development, donor relations, customer success, or a relationship-focused role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a variety of audiences.
• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to convey mission, impact, and vision in a compelling way.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with comfort working toward defined metrics and goals.
• Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM platform.
• Ability to travel occasionally for donor meetings or events.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of base-level donors focused on retention and relationship-building.
• Conduct proactive, personalized outreach to donors through phone calls, texts, emails, video meetings, and handwritten notes.
• Execute donor appeals to receive financial support from the base-level donor portfolio.
• Identify and assess upgrade potential within the base-level donor portfolio to mid- or major-donor levels.
• Provide individual donor research as support for the development field team.
• Analyze donor data and reports to ensure donor retention, reactivate lapsed donors, and execute moves management.
• Assist the Events Team with donor fundraising events.
• Accurately document all donor interactions in HubSpot in a timely manner.
• Identify new donor prospects by evaluating data in HubSpot.
• Track and report on KPIs, including touchpoints, donor upgrades, retention rates, and annual fund revenue growth.
• Establish expertise in HubSpot.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Donor Engagement

• Manage a portfolio of base-level donors with a focus on retention and relationship-building.
• Conduct proactive, personalized outreach to donors through phone calls, texts, emails, video meetings, and handwritten notes.
• Execute donor appeals to receive financial support from the base-level donor portfolio.

Research & Analysis

• Identify and assess the upgrade potential within the base-level donor portfolio to mid- or major-donor levels.
